Mr. N’Guessan Koffi, Minister of National Education, Literacy and Technical Education, received in audience on Thursday, February 19, 2026, His Excellency Ali Youssef Alnuaimi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Côte d’Ivoire. The main purpose of the meeting was to finalize the partnership agreement between the two institutions aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of education.
The discussions also focused on several priorities, including the construction of new schools to ease classroom overcrowding, the rehabilitation of existing infrastructure to improve the learning environment, the promotion of literacy, the strengthening of English teachers’ skills, and the improvement of living conditions for educational staff through the construction of dedicated housing. The Minister and the Ambassador also reviewed the pilot project involving the ongoing renovation of a school complex in Abobo.
On behalf of His Excellency Alassane Ouattara, President of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, the Minister welcomed the excellent relations between the two countries. He also expressed his gratitude to the Ambassador for the continued support of the United Arab Emirates to the Ivorian education system.
