Autonomous Port of Abidjan Explores Strategic Partnership with Austrian Engineering Firm

On Thursday, February 12, 2026, the Autonomous Port of Abidjan (PAA) held a meeting in the General Directorate Conference Room with an Austrian delegation from the engineering firm TENENTE E.U., visiting Africa for the first time on a business mission. The meeting was part of exploring a potential strategic and technical partnership and was chaired by Colonel COFFI YAO Emmanuel, Commander of the Port of Abidjan and Director of Maritime Operations, Security, and Environment.

The agenda included a presentation of technologies developed by TENENTE E.U., particularly in telecommunications and data security. During his speech, the CEO of the Austrian company highlighted TENENTE E.U.’s international experience, noting its involvement in major technology projects for the Austrian government as well as countries such as Egypt and Morocco.

The discussions also focused on the potential for a strategic and technical partnership to support PAA in strengthening its data security policy within a port context increasingly oriented toward digital transformation.

It is worth noting that the Autonomous Port of Abidjan has made data security a strategic priority and, since December 18, 2023, has obtained the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, an international standard that confirms the implementation, updating, and continuous improvement of an information security management system.
