Abidjan, Thursday, September 17, 2026 – The Minister of Hydraulics, Sanitation, and Hygiene, Dr. Amédé Koffi KOUAKOU, received Her Excellency Mrs. Katrin MANSSON, Ambassador of Sweden to the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, accompanied by Mr. Raymond SAUHI, Consul of Sweden to Côte d'Ivoire, for a working session today.

This meeting provided an opportunity to examine prospects for strengthening bilateral cooperation between Côte d'Ivoire and Sweden in the water sector, particularly regarding sustainable access to drinking water and the development of resilient hydraulic infrastructure.

The discussions align with the momentum of implementing the guidelines of the 2026–2030 National Development Plan (PND), which places strong emphasis on improving equitable and sustainable access to essential services—especially drinking water—for populations across the entire national territory.

Through this cooperation, Côte d'Ivoire and Sweden intend to continue developing partnerships capable of making a lasting contribution to achieving national objectives in the field of hydraulics.
