Côte d'Ivoire has once again shone on the international stage by winning the top global prize in the "Cloud" category at the Huawei ICT Competition 2025, held from May 20 to 24 in Shenzhen, China.
This victory marks the country’s second consecutive championship in this prestigious technology competition.

An Ivorian Team at the Top

The winning team was made up of two students from the École Supérieure Africaine des Technologies de l'Information et de la Communication (ESATIC) and one student from the Polytechnic University of Bingerville (UPB).
Together, they showcased outstanding mastery in Cloud Computing (45%), Artificial Intelligence (40%), and Big Data (15%), surpassing more than 200 teams from over 2,000 universities and higher education institutions across more than 100 countries and regions.

A High-Level Competition

The Huawei ICT Competition is a global platform aimed at promoting academic excellence and technological innovation among students worldwide.
Since its inception in 2015, it has attracted hundreds of thousands of participants and offers a unique opportunity for collaboration between industry, universities, and future ICT professionals.

National Recognition

The success of the Ivorian team was praised at the highest level of the state.
The Minister of Digital Transition and Digitalization, Kalil Konaté, expressed his pride and emphasized the significance of this achievement for Côte d'Ivoire's reputation in the field of information technology.
