Abidjan, June 23, 2025 – Kalil Konaté, Minister of Digital Transition and Digitalization, and Mamadou Touré, Minister of Youth Promotion, Professional Integration and Civic Service, took part in the 2025 edition of the VIVATECH trade fair, held from June 11 to 15, 2025, in Paris, France.
Around twenty startups from various sectors showcased their innovations at the event, reflecting the government's efforts to support youth entrepreneurship and stimulate local innovation. Key themes highlighted at the exhibition included artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, green technologies, and digital inclusion.
For the participating startups, the main benefits include increased visibility on the international market, opportunities to explore foreign ecosystems, build partnerships, and facilitate fundraising.
Côte d'Ivoire’s active participation in this major international event reaffirms the country's ambition to position itself as a key player in digital transformation and to become a leading tech hub in Africa.
This presence is part of the implementation of the national digital development strategy and the government's youth socio-professional integration policy — two priority areas aimed at building a modern, inclusive, and competitive economy. The focus is on job creation, skills development, and the emergence of future African tech champions.
It is worth noting that VIVATECH is a major international trade show that brings together stakeholders from the digital world, including startups, industry leaders, investors, technical partners, and financial institutions.
