Her Excellency Madame Nialé KABA, State Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received on Friday, February 6, 2026, the Group of Arab Ambassadors accredited to Côte d’Ivoire.
This meeting, focused on dialogue and cooperation, reaffirmed the strength of relations between Côte d’Ivoire and Arab countries.
In her speech, Madame Nialé KABA welcomed the distinguished diplomats and emphasized that “dialogue between nations remains a strength, and friendship between peoples is built on listening and trust.” She highlighted that the ties between Côte d’Ivoire and the Arab world are based on solidarity and a shared commitment to promoting peace, stability, and development.
The State Minister highlighted the achievements of this cooperation in strategic sectors such as infrastructure, energy, agriculture, education, health, and humanitarian action. She also acknowledged the support of Arab financial institutions, particularly the Islamic Development Bank, which actively supports the country’s economic and social transformation. Madame KABA reaffirmed the Ivorian Government’s readiness to work with each of the represented states to strengthen a partnership based on mutual trust and shared prosperity.
On behalf of the Group of Arab Ambassadors, His Excellency Mr. Abdal Karim Ewaïda, Ambassador of the State of Palestine and Dean of the Group, expressed his gratitude to Madame Nialé KABA for the meeting. He introduced the members present, including the ambassadors of Mauritania, Djibouti, Libya, Algeria, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt, Tunisia, Lebanon, as well as the chargés d’affaires of Sudan and Morocco.
The Dean recalled that the Council of Arab Ambassadors in Côte d’Ivoire, composed of 13 resident ambassadors and two honorary consuls, works to strengthen cooperation in accordance with the decisions of the League of Arab States. He also mentioned actions undertaken by the Council, including regional issues and cultural initiatives, such as the large event organized in 2023 to promote Arab culture among the Ivorian population.
Finally, Mr. Ewaïda congratulated Madame Nialé KABA on her appointment as head of Ivorian diplomacy and on the adoption of the National Development Plan 2026–2030. He reaffirmed the Council’s commitment to support Côte d’Ivoire in the success of its foreign policy and invited the State Minister to a dinner in her honor during an upcoming Council session.
