N’Guessan KOFFI on Thursday praised the support of the French Development Agency (AFD) in modernizing Côte d’Ivoire’s education system during a meeting with an AFD delegation in Abidjan.
The Ivorian Minister of National Education, Literacy and Technical Education, accompanied by the Minister Delegate in charge of Technical Education, Jean Louis MOULOT, received the delegation led by Adrien HAYE at the ministry headquarters in Plateau district.
The meeting focused on reviewing the progress of projects financed under the C2D and C2D2 debt-conversion programs, which support development initiatives in Côte d’Ivoire, particularly in the social sectors.
According to the ministry, both sides highlighted significant progress in several education and vocational training projects, reflecting what officials described as a strong and dynamic partnership between Abidjan and Paris.
“The support of AFD is essential to sustainably transform our education system and provide future opportunities for our youth,” N’Guessan KOFFI said on behalf of the Ivorian government.
The minister also stressed the importance of establishing a rigorous roadmap to ensure the successful implementation of upcoming projects.
The meeting reaffirmed the Ivorian government’s commitment to completing ongoing projects, strengthening support for project leaders, and accelerating new avenues of cooperation in the education and training sector.
France remains one of Côte d’Ivoire’s key partners in financing educational infrastructure, technical training, and youth professional integration initiatives.
