Côte d’Ivoire will host the third edition of its National Employment and Recruitment Fair (FNER) from May 18 to 21, 2026, at the Palais de la Culture in Abidjan, as authorities seek to address youth unemployment through large-scale job creation initiatives.
The event, themed “Youth, Skills and Employment: Together, Let’s Build the Future of Côte d’Ivoire,” has already mobilized more than 83,000 opportunities, including 33,829 professional insertion positions and 50,000 internship placements, organizers said.
The announcement was made during a press conference in Abidjan by Frédéric Kabran.
According to Agence Emploi Jeunes representative Jean Louis Kouadio, the initiative aims to connect young job seekers directly with employers, training institutions, technical partners, and financing actors.
The 2026 edition introduces a new scientific and institutional component, including a high-level panel with government officials, technical and financial partners, local authorities, and private sector stakeholders.
Five thematic panels will focus on key sectors such as agriculture, construction, culture and creative industries, digital technology and artificial intelligence, as well as mining, oil, and renewable energy.
In addition, eight practical masterclasses will be organized, covering topics including CV optimization, interview preparation, entrepreneurship creation and formalization, access to financing, and professional leadership development.
Organizers also announced that the fair will continue in regional areas from June 1 to June 3, expanding its reach beyond the capital to ensure broader youth participation across the country.
The initiative reflects Côte d’Ivoire’s broader strategy to strengthen youth employability and improve access to structured employment opportunities in a rapidly growing economy.
