“Through our pavilion, we wanted to showcase Ivorian expertise, the quality and diversity of our products, but above all, the women and men behind them. The wealth of our land and the talent of our people,” said Dr. Kaladji Fadiga.
Products showcased at the Ivorian pavilion include cocoa, hibiscus flowers, dried fruits (mango and pineapple), cashew kernels, chili pepper products (purée, oil and derivatives), palm kernel paste, woven traditional fabrics and handicrafts, including masks.
He also invited Chinese partners to discover and rediscover “Made in Côte d’Ivoire”, using the opportunity to strengthen the presence of Ivorian products on the Chinese market.
Speaking on behalf of private sector stakeholders, Kagnigui Ouattara, President of the Ivorian Federation of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (FIPME), expressed his gratitude to the Government of Côte d’Ivoire, through the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Handicrafts, and particularly to the Côte d’Ivoire Export Agency, for providing them with this impressive pavilion.
“This space represents a great opportunity for us, as private sector stakeholders, to showcase and promote our products, our expertise and, more broadly, Ivorian excellence to the international market,” he said.
Meanwhile, Côte d’Ivoire’s Ambassador to China, Adama Dosso, described the CIIE as a gateway offering “valuable opportunities” to African countries, particularly Côte d’Ivoire. He recalled that cooperation between the two countries in trade, agriculture and infrastructure continues to deepen, adding that Côte d’Ivoire's ambition is now to move beyond exporting raw materials.
“Our goal is to offer processed products to Chinese consumers and build our own Ivorian brands,” he said.
He invited Chinese entrepreneurs to visit the Ivorian pavilion and invest in Côte d’Ivoire, emphasizing that the country offers a stable business environment, abundant agricultural resources and a young, skilled workforce.
According to him, concrete trade exchanges bring the China-Africa community of shared future to life, to the “mutual benefit” of both sides. He concluded by expressing his hope that visitors would find lasting partnerships and friendships at the Ivorian pavilion.
Tastings of Ivorian products, B2B meetings and various other activities are scheduled to promote and boost sales of “Made in Côte d’Ivoire” products.
