The Minister of Planning and Development, Dr. Souleymane Diarrassouba, Governor of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) for Côte d’Ivoire, held discussions with the President of the IsDB Group, Dr. Muhammad Sulaiman Al Jasser, on the sidelines of the 51st Annual Meetings of the institution held in Baku, Azerbaijan.

On this occasion, the President of the IsDB Group confirmed the institution’s commitment to supporting Côte d’Ivoire in the implementation of the National Development Plan (NDP) 2026–2030. On behalf of the President of the Republic, Alassane Ouattara, an official invitation was handed over to him to participate in the Consultative Group meeting scheduled for July 8–9, 2026 in Abidjan.

The discussions also provided an opportunity to review the partnership between Côte d’Ivoire and the IsDB Group. The current active cooperation portfolio amounts to 2.2 billion US dollars, spread across 22 operations. Both parties agreed to open a new phase in this partnership, characterized by deeper collaboration around investments planned under the NDP 2026–2030. The talks notably focused on project maturity, strengthening absorption capacity, and improving the quality of implementation.

A few weeks ahead of the Consultative Group meeting scheduled for July 8–9, 2026 in Abidjan, the IsDB Group thus reaffirms its commitment to supporting Côte d’Ivoire in financing the NDP 2026–2030.
