The new electrical line connecting the Anani substation to Félix Houphouët-Boigny International Airport has been officially commissioned, significantly strengthening the airport’s energy security. The platform now benefits from seven backup power lines.
Stretching over 14 kilometers and supported by 200 utility poles, the new line was completed within an exceptional timeframe. This infrastructure guarantees a power supply that meets the standards required for a strategic international platform, further consolidating Côte d’Ivoire’s economic positioning.
The system will be complemented by two 2,500 kVA generators, whose acquisition has been entrusted to AERIA under the supervision of SODEXAM. Pending their deployment, CI-ENERGIES has provided temporary generators to ensure operational continuity.
According to Abdul Sylla, Acting Director General of SODEXAM, the commissioning marks an important milestone in strengthening the resilience of the airport’s power network. It also demonstrates the ability of Ivorian institutions to address technical challenges quickly and locally.
Sidibé Noumory, Director General of CI-ENERGIES, praised the exemplary mobilization of technical teams and all stakeholders involved in the project. He emphasized that this achievement is the result of a strong synergy of expertise serving the national interest.
