Ehui Kouassi Jérôme, Managing Director of Versus Bank and Vice-President of the Ivorian Employers’ Association, has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cotton, Cashew and Shea Council, succeeding Ouattara Blidia Alain Hyacinthe, whose term has come to an end.
According to an official statement sent to Abidjan.net on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, the handover ceremony formalized the transfer of responsibilities between the outgoing chairman and his successor in a spirit of continuity, institutional stability, and commitment.
Ouattara Blidia Alain Hyacinthe leaves behind the image of a leader who significantly contributed to the evolution and influence of the Council.
As for the new chairman, Ehui Kouassi Jérôme is widely recognized for his expertise in finance, governance, and economic development.
According to the statement, he assumes leadership of the Board with a strong determination to maintain momentum in performance and innovation.
Also serving as President of the Professional Association of Banks and Financial Institutions of Côte d’Ivoire (APBEF-CI), he aims to strengthen the governance of the Cotton, Cashew and Shea Council and support these sectors to improve the livelihoods of stakeholders across the value chain.
This transition between the two figures symbolizes the continuity of an ambitious development agenda and the Council’s commitment to sustainably enhancing the potential of the cotton, cashew, and shea sectors for prosperous producers by 2030.
