Schiba Assurances Vie, a new subsidiary of the SCHIBA Group, has officially announced the launch of its operations in Côte d’Ivoire with the inauguration of its first agency located in Deux-Plateaux, Cocody. The ceremony will take place on April 9, 2026, at the company’s headquarters.
According to an insurer’s note reviewed by Abidjan.net, this new life insurance subsidiary enables the SCHIBA Group to complete its insurance offering. Already active in the non-life insurance (IARD) segment through Schiba Assurances, the Group is strengthening its position in the sector by providing an integrated range of solutions covering both everyday risks and long-term savings and protection needs.
Present in several countries across the sub-region, the SCHIBA Group, through the launch of Schiba Assurances Vie, aims to reinforce its commitment to strengthening social protection, promoting savings, and supporting the economic resilience of households and businesses.
Schiba Assurances Vie intends to offer innovative, accessible, and tailored solutions to meet the needs of the population, while operating within a strict regulatory framework and working closely with public authorities and sector institutions.
“The inauguration of this first agency marks the beginning of a gradual rollout aimed at bringing protection and savings services closer to citizens, and actively contributing to the development of the Ivorian life insurance market,” the information note states.
