Road reprofiling works are currently underway in the municipality of Sikensi, much to the satisfaction of the local population. This initiative was launched by the municipal council to improve the condition of the town’s streets.
According to Oulaï Cyrille, Head of the Technical Services Department of Sikensi Town Hall, the works began on July 4, 2025, and are expected to last for three months. The project involves rehabilitating and reshaping the main roads of the town as well as those in the villages attached to the municipality.
Mr. Oulaï noted on Saturday, July 12, that local residents are involved in the process of identifying the roads to be reprofiled and in removing any potential obstacles.
The village chief of Badasso, Yao Koffi Pierre Claver, praised the efforts of the Mayor of Sikensi, N’Gata Brié Joseph, and his team. He expressed his satisfaction with the progress made so far and wished that all streets could benefit from the same treatment, depending on the available budget.
Additionally, the Technical Services Chief and Kouman Gnankou Laurent, President of the Financial, Economic, and Land Affairs Commission, are currently holding a series of meetings with traditional authorities in preparation for the effective start of the works in each locality.
