CMU Zero Contribution Caravan: Minister Adama Kamara Urges Béoumi Residents to Join the CMU in Large Numbers

The Minister of Employment and Social Protection, Adama Kamara, encouraged the population of Béoumi to enroll massively in the CMU (Universal Health Coverage).

Minister Kamara, accompanied by Minister Sidi Tiémoko Touré, President of the Court of Cassation Yua Koffi, and several administrative and traditional authorities, joined his teams in the field as part of the CMU Zero Contribution Caravan.

The ministry’s teams and the CNAM (National Health Insurance Fund) visited neighborhoods, villages, and high-traffic areas to bring government services closer to the people and raise awareness about the effective use of the CMU. Thanks to this mobilization, 3,500 people have already been enrolled in just three days.

He also visited the central market to encourage merchants, artisans, teachers, and informal sector workers to join the CMU and take advantage of the exceptional Zero Contribution measure.

Adama Kamara emphasized that this campaign reflects the firm commitment of the Head of State to ensure that every citizen and resident in Côte d’Ivoire has real access to healthcare and medicines. He urged the population to fully embrace this opportunity, which is part of the ongoing social policy of the President of the Republic.

Speaking at the event, the Minister of Animal and Fisheries Resources, Sidi Tiémoko Touré, praised his colleague’s initiative to choose Béoumi, a decision that will allow the city’s residents to access quality healthcare at a lower cost.
