CNACI boosts partnerships at SIAM 2026

The National Chamber of Agriculture of Côte d’Ivoire (CNACI), led by its president Sindou Bamba, took part in the 18th edition of the International Agriculture Show in Morocco, held in Meknès. The participation enabled the institution to strengthen its international visibility, expand its network of partners, and promote opportunities within Côte d’Ivoire’s agricultural sector.

During this major African agricultural event, the Ivorian delegation attended several high-level conferences and meetings focusing on food sovereignty, climate resilience, transformation of production systems, modernization of value chains, and agricultural financing.

On the sidelines of the official program, CNACI held a series of strategic meetings with key Moroccan and international institutions.

Discussions with the Confédération Marocaine de l’Agriculture et du Développement Rural (COMADER) focused on structuring agricultural interprofessional organizations, value chain governance, producer representation, and sustainable financing mechanisms for professional organizations.

A working session with the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA) identified concrete areas for cooperation, including improved seed development, water management, soil fertility, climate resilience, and the development of cereals and legumes, particularly for northern regions of Côte d’Ivoire.

The Chamber also met with Morocco’s Agence pour le Développement Agricole (ADA), where discussions covered institutional governance, restructuring of agricultural organizations, and the implementation of inclusive programs tailored to sector needs. The existing cooperation between ADA and Agence Nationale d’Appui au Développement Rural (ANADER) was highlighted as a model for Côte d’Ivoire.

In terms of capacity building, the delegation engaged with the École Nationale d’Agriculture de Meknès (ENA) to explore opportunities for continuous training, professional development of agricultural executives, and academic cooperation for Ivorian stakeholders.

CNACI also placed strong emphasis on promoting appropriate agricultural mechanization for smallholder farms. Exchanges were held with the Moroccan company BERNABA, which specializes in locally manufactured agricultural equipment, to identify accessible small-scale mechanization solutions for rural producers.

The CNACI exhibition stand attracted significant interest, receiving visits from companies, investors, and technical partners interested in exploring opportunities in Côte d’Ivoire’s agriculture, agribusiness, and livestock sectors.

At the end of the event, the National Chamber of Agriculture of Côte d’Ivoire expressed satisfaction with the outcomes, noting that International Agriculture Show in Morocco helped enhance its visibility, open new avenues for cooperation, and reinforce its commitment to the sustainable transformation of Ivorian agriculture.
