Cocoa Initiative Meeting with Minister Bruno Koné

Minister Bruno Nabagné Koné received Mr. Alex Arnaud Assanvo, Executive Secretary of the Côte d’Ivoire–Ghana Cocoa Initiative, on Wednesday, April 1, at his office.

“I informed the Minister about the progress of our activities, the achievements made, and our commitments with other countries. We also discussed the challenges facing the sector, which highlights the need to strengthen the Initiative’s actions, particularly in coordinating marketing strategies, increasing investment in industrialization, and exploring new markets. We also reviewed the organization’s upcoming meetings,” said Mr. Alex Arnaud Assanvo.

The Côte d’Ivoire–Ghana Cocoa Initiative is an intergovernmental organization that coordinates cocoa sector strategies between the two countries while fostering broader cooperation among producing nations. Through the promotion of research, sustainability, and resilience within the sector, it serves as a strategic coordination and advocacy platform aimed at enhancing cocoa value and improving producers’ incomes over the long term.
