he municipality of Dianra is taking part in the 17th edition of the International Meetings of Local Authorities’ International Action (RAICT), held on July 8 and 9, 2026, in Paris at the Hôtel des Arts et Métiers.
Organized by Cités Unies France, with the support of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, the French Development Agency (AFD), and several partners, the event brings together more than 500 participants, including elected officials and local government representatives from nearly 150 French municipalities, as well as 25 international delegations.
Held under the theme “The New World Order and the Role of Local Authorities in International Action,” this edition highlights, for the first time, the Republic of Togo, in recognition of its historical role in decentralized cooperation with France.
Through its participation in this major international event, the Mayor of Dianra, Amourlaye Koné, aims to strengthen the municipality’s visibility on the global stage, promote its assets, and showcase the many investment opportunities offered by the territory.
In preparation for this event, significant work was carried out under the coordination of the Fourth Deputy Mayor, Ibrahime Lagaré Sissoko, with the involvement of municipal teams. Several strategic project proposals were developed to attract the interest of technical and financial partners, as well as potential investors.
Among the key projects presented are the development and stocking project of the Dianra dam, combined with youth training in fishing-related activities, the training and entrepreneurial support program for 150 young people in the municipality, as well as the economic empowerment project for 200 women and 20 women’s groups.
In addition to these initiatives, various communication and territorial promotion tools have been developed to highlight Dianra’s economic, agricultural, tourism, and human potential.
Dianra’s participation in RAICT aligns with the development vision promoted by Mayor Amourlaye Koné, particularly through the strategic focus of his program on territorial marketing. This approach reflects the municipality’s ambition to become a more attractive, outward-looking community capable of building strategic partnerships that support local development and improve the living conditions of its population.
