The ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID) has opened its 2026 Young Professionals recruitment programme, offering young graduates an opportunity to join the regional development finance institution and gain professional experience across several areas.
The programme is aimed at young professionals from ECOWAS member states and is designed to develop emerging talent within the bank. EBID currently lists the Young Professionals recruitment notice among its ongoing employment opportunities.
Applicants must be no more than 30 years old at the time of recruitment and hold a master's degree or an equivalent qualification in a field relevant to the bank's activities.
The programme covers areas including finance, economics, accounting, audit, risk management, law, engineering, information technology, human resources, business administration, communication and marketing, as well as language services and other fields relevant to EBID's operations.
Candidates are expected to be able to work in a multicultural environment and demonstrate analytical, organisational and research skills. They must also have strong communication skills in English, French or Portuguese, together with a working knowledge of at least one of the other two languages.
Selected young professionals are assigned to departments according to the bank's needs. The programme is intended to provide participants with practical exposure to EBID's operations while developing their professional skills.
Participants are not recruited to fill existing vacancies. During their appointment, however, they are considered professional staff of the bank under the conditions set out for the Young Professionals Programme.
The programme is part of EBID's broader effort to develop a pipeline of young talent and future professionals within the institution.
Applications for the 2026 recruitment campaign are open until October 30, 2026.
