The Minister of Planning and Development of Dr. Souleymane DIARRASSOUBA received in audience on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, in Abidjan, Ihssane SLIMANI HOUTI. The discussions focused on the financing of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026–2030 and France’s participation in the Consultative Group scheduled for July 8–9, 2026, in Abidjan.
The PND 2026–2030 mobilizes a total envelope of 114,838.5 billion CFA francs, with 70.2% expected to come from the private sector. The Consultative Group meeting aims to raise 11,138.2 billion CFA francs from technical and financial partners.
The Minister called on France to fully contribute to this mobilization, emphasizing Côte d’Ivoire’s strategic position as the leading economy in the UEMOA region.
Franco-Ivorian economic cooperation and the presence of French companies across several key sectors of the Ivorian economy were also central to the discussions. The Minister encouraged companies to further strengthen their engagement in priority sectors of the PND 2026–2030.
Ms. SLIMANI HOUTI reaffirmed France’s commitment to continuing its economic cooperation with Côte d’Ivoire.
