First Phase of Côte d’Ivoire’s State Property Census Records 28,187 Assets

The first phase of the operation to inventory the State’s real estate assets has, as of August 31, 2025, identified and digitized 28,187 properties owned by the State.

This announcement was made by the Minister of Communication and Government Spokesperson, Amadou Coulibaly, following the Council of Ministers on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at the Presidential Palace.

He specified that this first phase, conducted over twelve months, covered the Autonomous Districts of Abidjan and Yamoussoukro, the 12 district capitals, and localities with more than 200,000 inhabitants, including Divo, Soubré, Duékoué, and Bouaflé.

According to Amadou Coulibaly, the second phase, launched in September 2025 for a twelve-month period, covers other localities in the country, as well as foreign countries where Côte d’Ivoire owns real estate.

“To ensure the complete success of the project, the Council calls on administrative authorities managing State-owned properties, whether built or undeveloped, to take the necessary measures to facilitate access for agents conducting field surveys,” emphasized the Government Spokesperson.

The operation, which began in August 2024, aims to establish a centralized, up-to-date, and reliable database of the State’s built and unbuilt assets, including a property register and mapping.
