The Council of Ministers has adopted a decree ratifying Convention 190 on violence and harassment, adopted on June 21, 2019. The convention aims to ensure a safe and respectful working environment, free from violence and harassment, regardless of the sector of activity.
The announcement was made by government spokesperson Amadou Coulibaly following the Council of Ministers meeting held on May 6, 2026, at the Presidential Palace in Abidjan.
According to the spokesperson, the ratification of Convention 190 will make it possible to implement a comprehensive strategy to prevent and eliminate all forms of violence and harassment, covering both men and women across the diverse world of work.
