Ivory Coast: Over 62,000 Opportunities at the National Employment Fair (July 24–31, 2025)

The National Employment and Recruitment Fair, scheduled from July 24 to 31, 2025, will offer 62,052 opportunities with an estimated total cost of 17,162,855,000 CFA francs, according to Abidjan.net this Wednesday during a press conference held in the Plateau district.

According to information gathered on site, this event—designed to directly connect job seekers, companies, training institutions, and funding organizations—aims to:

  • facilitate access to employment, internships, and training by directly connecting young people with recruiters and training centers,

  • encourage entrepreneurship through financing opportunities and support for project holders,

  • strengthen the employability of youth via practical workshops, training sessions, and specialized conferences.

The Fair also aims to boost the job market by intensifying exchanges between employers and job seekers at both national and local levels.

During the press conference, Jean Louis Kouadio, Administrator of the Youth Employment Agency, presented the results of the first edition of the forum, held from March 3 to 9, 2025, in Abidjan. He stated that, out of an initial target of 42,165 professional integration opportunities, a total of 53,921 opportunities were ultimately mobilized—demonstrating strong enthusiasm from companies and partners during the previous edition.

He emphasized the concrete impact already achieved, with 42,625 young people having benefited from various programs, including:

  • salaried jobs (2,033 youth),

  • internships (11,895),

  • training sessions (17,175),

  • labor-intensive public works (THIMO) (10,948), and

  • 574 entrepreneurship projects led by 967 youth, funded for a total amount of 1,672,903,862 CFA francs, exceeding the initial objective of 1.5 billion CFA francs.

This represents a conversion rate of 79.05% of the mobilized opportunities, underscoring the Fair’s effectiveness in turning offers into tangible outcomes for youth.

Mamadou Touré, Minister of Youth Promotion, Professional Integration, and Civic Service, described the Employment and Recruitment Fair as "a meeting hub, a catalyst for opportunities, and a unique platform that directly connects job seekers, companies, training institutions, and financing structures. It embodies our shared commitment to facilitating access to employment, promoting entrepreneurship, and enhancing the employability of our youth."

He also emphasized the importance of further training young people to increase their chances of integration and urged them to register in large numbers and actively participate in this new edition.

The second edition of the Fair will be held:

  • from July 24 to 26, 2025, in the Autonomous District of Abidjan, and

  • from July 29 to 31, 2025, simultaneously in the Autonomous District of Yamoussoukro and in the 24 regions hosting regional offices of the Youth Employment Agency.

As an innovation for this second edition, job opportunities will be published online in advance, allowing youth to apply beforehand and complete interviews on-site, with the possibility of immediate recruitment for preselected candidates.

Additionally, according to the Ministry’s schedule, the next edition of the Fair is planned for the last quarter of 2025.
