The Minister of Health, Public Hygiene, and Universal Health Coverage (CMU), Pierre N'gou Dimba, participated in the official inauguration of the World Health Organization (WHO) Academy on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at the Academy campus in Lyon, France.

The WHO Academy in Lyon aims to address gaps in health personnel training by using new technologies and the latest advancements in adult education. The Academy will offer high-quality courses to health professionals, policymakers, and WHO staff, both online and in-person.

In a post on his Facebook page, Minister Pierre N'gou Dimba emphasized that "The Lyon Academy now stands as a center of excellence in training, innovation, and research, opening promising perspectives for Ivory Coast." He noted that these include cutting-edge training for health professionals, ensuring their expertise, an enriching exchange of knowledge and practices with international experts, and a stronger health system to meet the growing needs of our populations.

"Thanks to the visionary leadership of President Alassane Ouattara, Ivory Coast continues to prioritize human resources training at the heart of its actions. It is by investing in training today that we ensure a better future," he stated
