The arrival in Côte d’Ivoire of the Canadian streaming platform Natif+ is the result of excellent Ivorian–Canadian relations. This was reaffirmed by Amadou Coulibaly, Minister of Communication and Government Spokesperson, on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Villa Colomb in Cocody Les Ambassades, during the official launch ceremony of the platform.

The event was held in the presence of Françoise Remarck, Minister of Culture and Francophonie, Her Excellency Ms. Sandra Choufani, Ambassador of Canada to Côte d’Ivoire, as well as several other personalities from the audiovisual industry.

Praising the strong cooperation between his ministry and the Ministry of Culture and Francophonie on issues related to Côte d’Ivoire’s audiovisual environment, Minister Amadou Coulibaly stated that the arrival of Natif+ in Côte d’Ivoire is a direct result of the excellent relationship between Canada and Côte d’Ivoire.

Jean-Yves Roux, President of Natif TV, expressed his gratitude to the Ivorian authorities for their support in facilitating the establishment of the Canadian streaming leader Natif+ within the Ivorian audiovisual landscape.

According to him, Natif+ is relying on a strong inclusion strategy to attract Ivorian audiences. “The platform breaks traditional banking barriers by integrating mobile payment without requiring a bank card and without mandatory monthly subscription commitments,” he explained, adding: “Plans are accessible from 200 CFA francs for consumption and 500 CFA francs for subscription.”

The Natif+ team also mentioned major investments estimated at around 8.5 billion CFA francs, dedicated to content development and promotion.

Furthermore, the streaming platform aims to expand its catalog, which already includes a general channel targeting diverse communities (Afro, Arab, Latino), with new African and Ivorian productions. This ambition also confirms the desire to make Francophone productions widely monetizable on a global scale and to offer local creators an exceptional international platform.
