At the invitation of H.E. Mr. Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, H.E. Mrs. Nialé KABA, Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, paid an official visit to the Kingdom of Morocco from May 19 to 23, 2026.
Received in audience on Thursday, May 21, 2026, in Rabat, the Minister of State held a tête-à-tête meeting with her Moroccan counterpart, followed by an expanded session between the two delegations.
The discussions provided an opportunity to commend the excellent relations of friendship and cooperation between Côte d’Ivoire and Morocco, established since 1962, as well as the prospects for strengthening them in strategic sectors.
On this occasion, the two Ministers paid tribute to the enlightened visions and leadership of His Excellency Mr. Alassane OUATTARA, President of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, and His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco, whose constant commitment to peace, stability, and development has enabled significant progress in their respective countries and across the African continent.
As part of the ongoing strengthening of bilateral partnership, both parties emphasized the importance of implementing the recommendations arising from the 5th Session of the Ivorian-Moroccan Joint Cooperation Commission, as well as the need to reactivate the Côte d’Ivoire–Morocco Economic Impetus Group. They also reaffirmed the convergence of views between their countries on major international issues and their shared commitment to multilateralism.
The meeting concluded with the signing of a joint communiqué and a press briefing, reflecting the shared determination to elevate Ivorian-Moroccan cooperation to a highly strategic level, in line with the orientations of their highest authorities.
