Paris Fair 2026: Côte d’Ivoire wins the prestigious “Golden Stand” Award

Côte d’Ivoire has written a new chapter in its international influence by winning, for the first time in its history, the prestigious “Golden Stand” Award at the Paris Fair 2026, one of Europe’s largest commercial and cultural events.

This major distinction recognizes the excellence of Ivorian trade promotion, the quality of national expertise, and the outstanding showcase of the country’s sectors including craftsmanship, agro-industry, gastronomy, and culture.

Under the leadership of His Excellency Maurice Kouakou BANDAMAN, Ambassador of Côte d’Ivoire to France, the successful participation was coordinated by the Embassy’s Commercial Service, led by Dr. Drissa Koné, whose commitment and coordination enabled Côte d’Ivoire to stand out among many participating nations.

The Paris Fair jury was impressed by the innovative architecture of the Ivorian pavilion, the originality of its design, the quality of exhibitors, and the immersive experience offered to visitors.

Since April 30 and until May 11, 2026, the Côte d’Ivoire Pavilion, located at Pavilion 4 – Aisle F “Richesse du Monde” at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, has been showcasing the country’s economic, cultural, and tourism potential through exhibitions, screenings, musical performances, and demonstrations of locally processed products.

This international recognition highlights the professionalism of Ivorian stakeholders and the remarkable work accomplished by the Commercial Service of the Embassy of Côte d’Ivoire in France.

“The entire team of the Commercial Service of the Embassy of Côte d’Ivoire in France did a wonderful job. The jury was convinced by the pavilion’s architecture, the originality of the stand, and the quality of the exhibitors,” said Dr. Drissa Koné, Head of the Commercial Service.

Beyond the trophy, the Golden Stand Award represents a true label of quality and credibility for Côte d’Ivoire as a destination. The distinction is expected to strengthen the country’s economic attractiveness, reassure international investors, and further promote “Made in Côte d’Ivoire” products on international markets.

It also confirms Côte d’Ivoire’s position as a key regional hub for business, culture, tourism, and innovation in West Africa.

This historic achievement finally illustrates the ability of Ivorian economic diplomacy, driven by the Embassy’s Commercial Service, to effectively promote the country’s image, opportunities, and excellence on the international stage.
