Defense Minister Téné Birahima Ouattara fulfilled his civic duty this Saturday, October 25, 2025, by casting his ballot at polling station No. 2, EPP BAD in Kong, located in the northeast of Côte d’Ivoire and known as the paternal village of President Alassane Ouattara.
“I have just exercised my civic duty by taking part in today’s vote here in Kong. This simple yet profoundly symbolic gesture reflects my commitment to our democracy and to the stability of our Nation,” declared the Minister after voting.
According to him, voting is not merely a right — it is a responsibility and a meaningful act of participation in the nation’s democratic life.
“Voting means choosing the future of our country. It is expressing one’s voice, conviction, and commitment to peace, unity, and development. It is also an act of responsibility that we must all perform, calmly and with respect for our institutions,” he stated.
Téné Birahima also encouraged citizens across Côte d’Ivoire to take part massively in this important electoral exercise:
“I therefore invite all Ivorian women and men to come out and vote in large numbers. Let us do so peacefully, with pride, dignity, and a republican spirit. Together, let us continue writing the history of a GREAT CÔTE D’IVOIRE,” he concluded.
