Strategic Partnership for Sustainable Financing

Sustainable Financing, Credit Rating, Bankable Projects and Promotion of Green Investments
Minister Adama Coulibaly and the UNDP Resident Representative Seek to Strengthen a Strategic Partnership

Strengthening sustainable financing, improving Côte d’Ivoire’s credit rating, developing bankable projects capable of attracting more investors, and promoting green investments were at the heart of discussions between the Minister of Economy, Finance and Budget, Adama Coulibaly, and the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Blerta Cela, during a meeting held on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at his office in the Sciam building in Plateau.

This meeting is part of ongoing efforts to consolidate the partnership between Côte d’Ivoire and the United Nations system.

At the end of the meeting, the UNDP Resident Representative particularly praised the quality of the discussions and the vision put forward by the Minister.

“I am always very proud to work closely with the Minister, who is a particularly visionary leader. We discussed various issues related to sustainable financing for the development of Côte d’Ivoire. We also talked about the initiatives we have undertaken together, particularly in the area of credit ratings. I am delighted with the remarkable progress achieved by Côte d’Ivoire, as evidenced by the significant improvement in its credit risk profile. We also examined ways to strengthen our collaboration in order to develop bankable projects capable of attracting more investors, improving the business environment, and promoting green investments, which are essential for the country. The Minister of Finance is a key partner for UNDP, and I will be pleased to continue this spirit of partnership and collaboration,” she stated.
