Minister of State Nialé Kaba received Michel Arrion, Executive Director of the International Cocoa Organization, on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at her office. The meeting was also attended by Aly Touré, Permanent Representative of Côte d’Ivoire to International Commodity Organizations based in London.
Discussions focused on key challenges facing the cocoa sector, including sustainability, better value for Ivorian producers, and the role of the ICCO in supporting producing countries. Both parties also explored prospects for stronger cooperation and emphasized the need to better defend national interests in international commodity negotiations.
Minister Nialé Kaba praised the ICCO’s efforts and reaffirmed the Ivorian government’s commitment to working closely with the organization to promote a competitive and sustainable cocoa sector.
This meeting reflects the shared ambition to deepen cooperation and strengthen Côte d’Ivoire’s position in international platforms.
