Côte d’Ivoire deepened its international technology partnerships on the second day of Viva Technology 2026, leveraging Europe’s largest innovation event to strengthen its position within the global digital economy.
A major highlight of the day was the signing of a cooperation agreement between KAYDAN Group and Institut EuropIA, a partnership designed to enhance collaboration between Côte d’Ivoire and Europe in artificial intelligence, digital skills development and technology training.
The agreement reflects growing efforts by both sides to accelerate knowledge transfer, support talent development and foster innovation-driven growth in emerging digital sectors. As governments and businesses increasingly invest in artificial intelligence, the partnership is expected to contribute to the development of new competencies and opportunities for young professionals and entrepreneurs.
The Côte d’Ivoire Pavilion also welcomed several high-level international delegations, including representatives from Estonia’s Ministry of Industry and Trade and a delegation from Rwanda. Both countries are widely recognized for their commitment to digital transformation and innovation-led economic development.
Discussions focused on potential areas of cooperation, technology exchange and investment opportunities aimed at supporting digital ecosystems and strengthening international partnerships.
The day continued with strategic engagements involving global consulting firm PwC, where discussions centered on innovation, digital transformation and the role of emerging technologies in driving economic competitiveness. Participants also attended startup pitch sessions organized by Bloomberg, providing an opportunity to discover innovative solutions and engage with entrepreneurs shaping the future of technology.
Côte d’Ivoire’s participation in VivaTech 2026 forms part of a broader strategy to position the country as a leading technology hub in Africa. Through international partnerships, investment promotion and support for startups, the country is seeking to accelerate its digital transformation agenda and strengthen its presence in global innovation networks.
As the event continues in Paris, the Ivorian delegation is using the platform to showcase local innovation, attract international partners and build new bridges between African and global technology ecosystems.
