AfDB reaffirms support for Côte d’Ivoire’s 2026–2030 development plan
Following a meeting with Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé on Thursday, February 19, 2026, in Abidjan, the President of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group, Sidi Ould Tah, reaffirmed his institution’s commitment to supporting Côte d’Ivoire.
“We reviewed Côte d’Ivoire’s portfolio within the African Development Bank Group. It is the best portfolio, both in terms of performance and diversification. We also discussed the new National Development Plan (NDP 2026–2030), which our institution will have the honor and pleasure to support in terms of financing mobilization,” stated AfDB President Sidi Ould Tah.
According to Sidi Ould Tah, the discussions also addressed commitments made by Arab development funds during their visit to Abidjan in January 2026, as well as the practical modalities for implementing these commitments and the role the African Development Bank Group will play in coordinating and finalizing the process. “We are very reassured by the quality of the partnership and also by the prospects for the coming years,” he added.
The main mission of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group is to reduce poverty in Africa by promoting sustainable economic development and social progress. The Bank mobilizes resources, finances projects (infrastructure, agriculture, energy), and provides technical assistance to member countries to improve living conditions.
