Minister Souleymane Diarrassouba Presents Business Opportunities Linked to the 2026–2030 NDP to an African Development Bank Delegation
The Minister of Planning and Development, Souleymane Diarrassouba, met on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, with a high-level delegation from the African Development Bank (AfDB) led by Joseph Ribeiro, Deputy Managing Director in charge of West Africa, at his office in the SCIAM building in Plateau.
The meeting, following the AfDB President’s previous visit, highlighted the strong and excellent relations between the Ivorian government and the Bank. Mr. Ribeiro thanked the authorities for their commitment and contribution to the financing of the 17th African Development Fund (ADF 17) and praised the resilience and performance of Côte d’Ivoire’s economy.
He reviewed the AfDB’s achievements from 2020 to 2025, with a portfolio of USD 4.2 billion, and expressed the Bank’s readiness to support the 2026–2030 National Development Plan (NDP) in strategic sectors including energy, transport, agriculture, roads, social development, and governance. He also requested the Minister’s arbitration on several pending projects.
Minister Diarrassouba expressed the government’s gratitude for AfDB’s continued support and trust, promising to carefully review the pending projects and audits in collaboration with sectoral ministries.
During the meeting, the Minister presented the business opportunities under the NDP 2026–2030, describing it as the translation of President Alassane Ouattara’s vision and social contract with the people of Côte d’Ivoire. Its implementation aims to make Côte d’Ivoire an upper-middle-income country by 2030.
He invited the AfDB to seize business opportunities in priority sectors of the NDP, particularly water, rice production, health, and railway infrastructure.
