Agricultural Distinction:
Minister Bruno Koné Elevated to Commander
The Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Food Crops, Bruno Nabagné Koné, was elevated on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, to the rank of Commander in the Order of Agricultural Merit, at the headquarters of the Grand Chancellery, by H.E. Aly Coulibaly, Grand Chancellor of the National Order of Côte d’Ivoire.
The Secretary General of the Grand Chancellery, Sombè Souleymane Meité, emphasized the significance of this act:
"By decorating you in your respective orders, the Grand Chancellor delegates to you the powers conferred upon him by the President of the Republic, to ensure respect for the founding rules of ministerial orders and to promote their merits as well as those of their members, in order to encourage healthy emulation and personal excellence."
Receiving this distinction with humility, Minister Bruno Koné stated:
"I have not yet done anything to deserve such a decoration… but I understand that, in reality, we are entrusted with a mission." He reaffirmed his commitment to modernizing agriculture and dedicated this elevation to all stakeholders in the agricultural sector.
It should be noted that the Chancellery’s regulations stipulate that those who preside over an order must hold the highest rank, which is the sole guarantee of the full legitimacy of their office.
