The Independent Electoral Commission (CEI), the body responsible for organizing elections in Côte d’Ivoire, has announced that the submission of candidacy files for the upcoming presidential election scheduled for October 25, 2025, is open from July 25 to August 26, 2025.

"The Independent Electoral Commission informs political parties, groups and stakeholders, potential candidates and voters, as well as the national and international community, that in preparation for the presidential election of October 25, 2025, candidacy files will be received at its headquarters from July 25 to August 26, 2025, in accordance with the provisions of the electoral code," reads a CEI statement consulted on Friday, July 25, 2025, by Abidjan.net.

Moreover, according to reliable sources, the first candidacy file received by the CEI on Friday, July 25, 2025, for the upcoming Ivorian presidential election was submitted by Mr. Mohammed Kouadio N'Da, a figure previously unknown in the Ivorian political landscape.

In Côte d’Ivoire, the final electoral roll includes 8.7 million registered voters.
