Closing Meeting of the RHDP Pre-Congress: Massive Mobilization in Agboville

On Sunday, June 1, 2025, Allocodrome Square in Agboville came alive with the closing meeting of the RHDP (Rally of Houphouëtists for Democracy and Peace) pre-congress. This event marked the end of a series of regional pre-congresses held across Côte d’Ivoire in preparation for the national congress scheduled for June 20 and 21, 2025, in Abidjan.

Thousands of militants from the four departments of the Agnéby-Tiassa region Tiassalé, Sikensi, Taabo, and Agboville showed up proudly wearing the party’s colors under more than fifty canopies set up for the occasion. This strong mobilization reflects the militants’ commitment and support for the party’s direction, particularly backing President Alassane Ouattara’s candidacy in the October 2025 presidential election.

Pierre N’Gou Dimba, Minister of Health and the RHDP’s principal coordinator for the region, praised this momentum and thanked local leaders for their involvement in the pre-congress commissions. He emphasized the need for active and united participation of militants to uphold the party’s values during the upcoming political events.

Adama Bictogo, the Agboville Member of Parliament and President of the National Assembly, who attended the meeting, also stressed the importance of unity and internal cohesion within the RHDP. “Ambitions must be aligned with the pursuit of the common good,” he said, while announcing a series of visits to the region’s departments to strengthen the mobilization of key forces around shared objectives.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to reinforce ties between the party and local communities, with constructive exchanges between Adama Bictogo and Agboville’s community leaders, highlighting the value of ethnic diversity in the region.

In summary, the closing of the RHDP pre-congress in Agboville stood out as a significant moment of political mobilization, paving the way for the national congress and upcoming elections, all in a spirit of unity and solidarity.
