The Executive Secretary of the RHDP (the ruling party), Cissé Ibrahim Bacongo, on Tuesday in Abidjan, welcomed a "long-awaited and much-hoped-for declaration" by President Alassane Ouattara, which he said was embraced by the majority of Ivorians.

"It is with immense pride and deep satisfaction that I listened, this Tuesday, July 29, 2025, to His Excellency Mr. Alassane Ouattara, President of the Republic and President of the RHDP, announce, in full awareness and with a strong sense of responsibility, his candidacy for the presidential election of October 25, 2025," Mr. Cissé reacted on his Meta page.

According to him, this "long-awaited and much-hoped-for" declaration by the vast majority of Ivorians "marks a historic moment."

By responding "with honor and commitment" (...) to the pressing aspirations of people from all regions, all political backgrounds, both inside the country and within the diaspora, "the President is paving the way for an even brighter future for our Nation," concluded the Executive Secretary of the ruling party, Cissé Bacongo.
