My loyalty and gratitude to President Alassane Ouattara are absolute. They did not start yesterday. They are the result of a long companionship, forged during the most decisive moments of our political journey.
In 2019, when the political context was particularly tense and many thought the RHDP was weakened or even doomed, I had the honor of receiving the President’s trust to lead the party as Executive Director. The RHDP had just been created. Everything had to be built, defended, and embodied.
Under the strong leadership of President Ouattara, we fought a political battle under extreme conditions. We resisted threats, overcame doubts, and faced criticism. The whole world feared this election would break Côte d’Ivoire. Yet it took place. And even better, we won.
This is the story I carry and many others — the story of a man who stood tall beside his leader, through the storm and the victory.
So today, if the President were to decide not to run again in 2025, the only thing I would say is that we must remain faithful to his legacy and ready to continue his work.
For 2025, the Congress has spoken. The militants, like all of us, wish for President Alassane Ouattara’s candidacy. As for me, I have no doubt: President Alassane Ouattara will indeed be our candidate.
