After casting her ballot at the polling station located in Riviera Golf, the MGC candidate Simone Ehivet Gbagbo gave an interview in which she expressed her satisfaction with the voting process.
“I have voted, and I can see that everything is going very well. Here, in this polling station, everything is proceeding smoothly, and I hope it remains the same across the entire country,” she said.
She also expressed her wish for Ivorians to be pleased with the counting process and the announcement of her victory.
The former First Lady also commented on voter turnout: “I hope the participation rate will increase, and that we will have a good turnout.”
Simone Ehivet Gbagbo added that she could not give an exact figure regarding her potential victory but hoped for a favorable trend. She also reiterated the importance of preserving peace — a message she has consistently advocated even before the campaign began.
“It is possible for Côte d’Ivoire to remain in peace,” she concluded.
