Prime Minister Beugré Mambé Inaugurates Robust International Cashew Processing Plant in Toumodi
On Monday, September 22, 2025, in Toumodi, Prime Minister Dr. Beugré Mambé inaugurated the Robust International Côte d'Ivoire cashew processing plant. This facility, built at a cost of 15 billion CFA francs and financed by the European Commission, spans over six hectares and has been completed in just 14 months. It is expected to create more than 1,000 direct jobs, with nearly 70% occupied by women.
Prime Minister Mambé expressed his satisfaction with the establishment of this significant unit, emphasizing its role in the transformation of Ivorian cashew production. He highlighted that the peaceful, fraternal, and secure environment fostered by President Alassane Ouattara encourages investors to invest in Côte d'Ivoire. This inauguration underscores the government's commitment to promoting industrialization, encouraging investments, and improving the living conditions of local populations.
This development aligns with Côte d'Ivoire's strategy to enhance the local processing of cashew nuts, reinforcing its position as a leading global producer. The government's efforts aim to add value to the cashew sector, increase export revenues, and create sustainable employment opportunities, particularly for women and youth in rural areas.
The Robust International plant in Toumodi is part of a broader initiative to boost the agro-industrial sector and contribute to the country's economic growth and diversification.
