Bouaké-Kanawolo Highway Construction Project, Bouaké-Kobo Section (69.5 km): BOAD Grants a 30 Billion CFA Loan
Côte d'Ivoire has received a loan of 30 billion CFA francs from the West African Development Bank (BOAD) for the partial financing of the Bouaké-Kanawolo highway construction project, specifically for the Bouaké-Kobo section, which is 69.5 km long.
"The project involves the construction of a 69.5 km, 2x2-lane highway connecting Bouaké and Kobo, aimed at supporting the growth of road traffic on the corridor linking Bouaké, Kanawolo, and the landlocked countries," stated Amadou Coulibaly, Minister of Communication and government spokesperson, during his report on the Council of Ministers meeting on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at the Presidential Palace in Abidjan-Plateau.
He explained that the Council adopted a decree ratifying the loan agreement concluded on May 14, 2024, between BOAD and Côte d'Ivoire.
