Abidjan, September 22, 2025 – Prime Minister Dr. Robert Beugré Mambé stated that the "e-mining cadastre Côte d'Ivoire" portal is part of the reforms aimed at boosting Côte d’Ivoire’s mining attractiveness, ensuring greater compliance with the requirements of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI), and speeding up the management of mining operations.
He presided over the official launch of the portal on Monday, September 22, 2025, at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire in Abidjan. This next-generation tool will establish a fully digital management system for the entire process of obtaining mining permits or authorizations.
For the Head of Government, this portal, which will also be a key tool in the national fight against illegal gold mining, “reflects a broader ambition for our country: to build a modern, efficient, competitive Côte d’Ivoire across all sectors, firmly focused on accelerating its economic and social development.”
“The launch of the e-mining cadastre Côte d'Ivoire marks a qualitative and decisive turning point in the development of our mining sector, which has experienced significant positive growth over more than a decade. With this portal, our country will stand out as a global reference in digital mining governance,” Robert Beugré Mambé asserted.
Alongside agriculture and industry, he welcomed the fact that extractive resources aim to become one of the driving forces of economic growth: “From 2012 to 2025, national gold production has quadrupled and manganese production has increased tenfold. At the same time, we have diversified our mining portfolio with nickel, bauxite, lithium, colombo-tantalite, and many other mineral substances.”
He added, “Exploration permits have also been granted for rare earth elements, which demonstrates the great potential of the Ivorian subsoil. This remarkable momentum has helped make Côte d’Ivoire an attractive mining destination, highly recommended to international mining investors.”
For his part, the Minister of Mines, Petroleum, and Energy, Mamadou Sangafowa-Coulibaly, emphasized that the mining management process is a lever for improving the performance of the administration in serving its users.
“This portal will be available to mining sector actors and all future investors, among whom we will surely count many nationals because the mining code currently under revision gives a place to local content, as is the case in hydrocarbons.”
Speaking about the vitality of the mining sector, the Minister recalled that “many mineral discoveries have been made in our country over the past three years, including three world-class gold discoveries.”
“Ongoing research promises further significant discoveries in the coming months,” he announced.
