Port Infrastructure: The State Formalizes the Transfer of Assets to the Autonomous Port of San Pedro
The Council of Ministers has adopted a decree formalizing the transfer of assets from the State to the state-owned company, the Autonomous Port of San Pedro (PASP).
This decree, which regularizes the situation, transfers full ownership of the fishing port's assets to the Autonomous Port of San Pedro as investment grants. The goal is to harmonize and clarify the financial statements of the Port Autonomous of San Pedro.
The assets transferred include, among others, the infrastructure intended for receiving fishing vessels and the facilities dedicated to the preservation and commercialization of fish products.
It is worth noting that in 1994, the State, with funding from Japan’s official development assistance, constructed various infrastructures and equipment that make up the San Pedro fishing port. However, these assets had been operated by the Autonomous Port of San Pedro without a formal act officially transferring ownership
