On Saturday, July 5th, the Agora of Koumassi hosted the first day of the “I Vote for Peace” initiative, organized by La Fabrique Culturelle with the support of the European Union in Côte d’Ivoire.
As announced, the public enjoyed a performance of the play “220 Logements”, followed by an interactive debate and live performances by committed artists, all delivering a message of peace through music and togetherness.
Ambassador Francesca Di Mauro also inaugurated a mural created by the artist Koun, symbolizing collective commitment to social cohesion, peaceful coexistence, and non-violent elections.
The “I Vote for Peace” initiative is part of the larger “Tous engagés! #ElectionsSansGbangban” program, which brings together 30 partners across 10+ projects, focused on four key priorities:
- Civic education
- Human rights
- Prevention of electoral violence
- Support for institutions
The next phases of “I Vote for Peace” will take place in Bouaké and Yopougon.
