San Pedro, July 2025 – Following the success of last year’s Netherlands Caravan, H.E. Jeroen Kelderhuis, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Côte d’Ivoire, continued his mission with a strategic visit to San Pedro (large city in southwestern Côte d'Ivoire.), accompanied by colleague Piet Claessens.
This visit focused on three major areas: port cooperation, sustainable trade, and youth entrepreneurship — key pillars in the bilateral relationship between the Netherlands and Côte d’Ivoire.
Strengthening Port Cooperation for Regional Trade
The Dutch delegation held a high-level meeting with the Port Authority of San Pedro, a vital logistics hub in West Africa. Discussions centered on concrete ways to enhance collaboration in regional trade, sustainable logistics, and international port security.
San Pedro's strategic location makes it a critical platform for driving shared economic ambitions and promoting regional integration.
