Kalamon, Côte d’Ivoire — September 23, 2025 – U.S. Ambassador Jessica Davis Ba joined the Minister of Interior and Security, General Vagondo Diomandé, for the official inauguration of the Kalamon border post—a flagship project aimed at enhancing border security in Côte d’Ivoire.

Built with support from the United States, this modern police facility marks a major step forward for regional security. It is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure for passport control, visa issuance, identity verification, and cross-border cooperation.

The primary goals of this facility are to reinforce security, protect local communities, and create a safer environment for trade and investment, benefiting both Ivorians and Americans.
