Mr. Adama Bictogo, President of the National Assembly of Côte d’Ivoire, participated in the 50th session of the Parliamentary Assembly of La Francophonie (APF), underscoring Côte d’Ivoire’s ongoing commitment to this international institution.
On the sidelines of the meeting, he held a warm discussion with Ms. Yaël Braun-Pivet, President of the French National Assembly. This exchange, marked by mutual trust and respect, reaffirmed the shared determination of both countries to strengthen parliamentary cooperation within the values of La Francophonie.
Mr. Bictogo expressed his satisfaction with the adoption by the French deputies of the framework law on the restitution of cultural property. He hailed this gesture as a strong and symbolic act in favor of recognizing the history and heritage of peoples.
“This text marks an important step towards renewed cooperation based on shared memory and a spirit of justice,” emphasized the President of the Ivorian National Assembly.
This participation strengthens Côte d’Ivoire’s position as an engaged actor in Francophone parliamentary dialogue and cultural diplomacy.
