President Alassane Ouattara Holds Talks with the UK Minister for Africa

On Monday, May 26, 2025, the President of the Republic, H.E. Mr. Alassane OUATTARA, held a meeting at his residence with the UK Minister for Africa, Lord COLLINS.

During the meeting, the British Minister commended Côte d’Ivoire for the remarkable progress achieved across various sectors. He went on to discuss development-related issues and the strengthening of bilateral partnerships aimed at fostering strong and mutually beneficial economic growth.

Lord COLLINS also emphasized the importance of deepening cooperation between Côte d’Ivoire and the United Kingdom, particularly in the economic and commercial fields. He highlighted the role of economic delegations and business leaders in unlocking the full potential of both countries’ economies.

In addition, he expressed the UK’s willingness to facilitate greater access for Ivorian students to British universities, demonstrating a shared commitment to advancing educational collaboration.

 

The meeting was attended by Mr. Fidèle SARASSORO, Minister and Chief of Staff to the President of the Republic, Mr. Souleymane DIARRASSOUBA, Minister of Trade and Industry, and Mrs. Masséré TOURÉ-KONÉ, Secretary-General of the Presidency.
