Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire – September 23, 2025 – As part of their strengthened defense partnership, the United States has officially delivered 90 vehicles to the Ivorian Armed Forces (FACI) this Tuesday. This significant handover reinforces joint efforts to enhance the logistical and operational capacities of the Ivorian military.

This delivery supports a broader shared strategy to improve security in northern Côte d’Ivoire and across the wider region, contributing to a safer and more prosperous future for both Ivorians and Americans.

Throughout 2025, this bilateral cooperation has included the provision of 17 ambulances, 150 night vision devices, 4,500 bulletproof vests, and the training of over 3,000 Ivorian troops.

As a reminder, on April 10, 2025, the United States marked a key milestone in this security partnership with the handover of 12 Armored Personnel Carriers (APCs) to FACI during an official ceremony at the Armed Forces Headquarters in Abidjan.
