Strengthening Ivorian–Iranian Friendship: Minister Adama Dosso Represents Côte d’Ivoire at Iran’s National Day

On the evening of Monday, February 16, 2026, Minister Adama Dosso represented the Ivorian government at the celebration of the National Day of Iran, organized by the Iranian Embassy in Côte d’Ivoire.

On this diplomatic occasion, he conveyed, on behalf of the President of the Republic, Alassane Ouattara, the warm congratulations of the Ivorian people to His Excellency Masoud Pezeshkian, as well as to the government and the people of Iran, on the 47th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.

The discussions highlighted the strong and enduring relations between Abidjan and Tehran, built on mutual respect, solidarity, and pragmatic cooperation. Both parties emphasized their shared commitment to further strengthen this bilateral partnership across multiple areas of common interest.

Minister Adama Dosso also stressed the need to give new momentum to cooperation between the two countries, particularly through the planned 2026 session of the Côte d’Ivoire–Iran Joint Commission on Cooperation and bilateral political consultations. These platforms are expected to explore broader opportunities in strategic sectors.

Reaffirming the country’s openness, he indicated that Côte d’Ivoire remains ready to welcome Iranian investors and partners, particularly within the framework of the 2026–2030 National Development Plan.

Ivorian authorities believe that strengthening South–South cooperation between the two nations will help promote shared and sustainable prosperity for the benefit of their peoples.
